AIMS Institutes celebrated the inauguration of the MBA Class of 2024-26 today, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for their new cohorts. The event commenced with a heartfelt welcome from the Program Director, Dr. Kalpana Venugopal, who highlighted the critical skills required for students to be corporate-ready in an environment where over 90% of recruiters prioritize industry-relevant expertise.
The Executive Director and Principal, Dr. Roja Reddy Meka, addressed the gathering, focusing on the importance of an entrepreneurial mindset—an attribute that has seen a 60% increase in demand among employers. She also stressed the role of emotional intelligence, a trait linked to 75% of professional success, and the need to stay abreast of the latest business management trends.
Registrar Dr. B M Ramamurthy provided insights into 21st-century skills, emphasizing that 85% of the jobs that today’s students will do in 2030 haven’t been invented yet, underscoring the need for adaptability and continuous learning.
The Dean, Dr. Hemanth Kumar, led an engaging session titled “First Glimpse: Unveiling Beginnings,” where he introduced the new cohort to the institute’s robust legacy, innovative pedagogy, industry partnerships, and a strong alumni network of over 35,000 professionals. He also highlighted the institute’s placement success.
An interactive icebreaker session encouraged students to network, fostering connections that will be crucial throughout their MBA journey. The event concluded with a networking lunch, providing an opportunity for students and faculty to interact in a more informal setting.
